The interesting thing about the miniseries is that it’s told through the eyes of Amy Davidson’s character, Helen Remus.  Helen Remus is a runaway who turns to prostitution in an effort to get away from her mother’s abusive boyfriend.  By the end of Part 1, Helen Remus’s had a run-in with the GRK without even knowing it.  By part 2 (airing Monday), Helen Remus has disappeared and Reichert is on her trail.  He consults with Spike from Buffy (James Marsters, playing convicted serial killer Ted Bundy) and finally finds the man he’s been hunting for over the course of 20 years.  The miniseries is based on the book Chasing the Devil:  My Twenty-Year Quest to Capture the Green River Killer by David Reichert (now a US Congressman).
For nearly 20 years, the Green River Killer haunted Washington State with a series of shocking murders. The LMN miniseries “The Capture of the Green River Killer” is told through the eyes of one young runaway, Helen “Hel” Remus, whose fate, bad luck and unwise choices lead to her encounter with the notorious serial killer. Leading the hunt for the murderer is Sheriff David Reichert, who becomes so entangled in the case that he’s willing to risk his family and career to find justice for the slain girls. Surprisingly, it’s a meeting with convicted serial killer Ted Bundy that may help Reichert finally find his man, but bringing him to justice will be anything but easy. Follow this incredible true-crime tale that’s based on the book “Chasing the Devil: My Twenty-Year Quest to Capture the Green River Killer” by Sheriff David Reichert.

Dewey Hughes

Films producer Joe Fries heard Petey’s story from his friend Dewey Hughes, who was Petey’s creative partner, Fries “saw it as a dream project.” The idea did not sell, but the project moved forward as a movie just the same. As Fries explains, “I felt so passionately about this story that I contacted screenwriter Michael Genet, who is Dewey Hughes’ son–with no guarantee of a home for the project.”
Genet remarks, “When I was writing the script, I knew I had to stay true to the voices of these two men. Not to have done so would have been to dishonor them both. There’s cool that you either have or you don’t, and Dewey had it. The same work ethic he instilled in Petey, he instilled in me; paying one’s dues not only in this business but in life. At the core of the film is the real-life relationship between Petey Greene and Dewey Hughes. McLaughlin says, “Their friendship is the foundation of “Talk to Me.” What eventually caused a rift between these two – who were like brothers during turbulent times for this country – is that Dewey assumed Petey wanted what he wanted for him.” Lemmons met with Dewey Hughes, who signed on as consultant to the now-coalescing project, which Focus Features joined.

“Dewey Hughes gave me the rundown on Sunny Jim Kelsey, ‘the man with the plan’ who came up through the ranks and later became the first black program manager at a major radio station. He was one of the biggest deejays in New York and then even more so in D.C. He was very conservative and religious, and in many ways felt that Petey was not a respectable person to be representing black people on the radio. But ultimately, Sunny Jim became one of Petey’s ardent fans and supporters, and a close friend.”

american teenAmerican Teen is a new documentary film which was picked up by Paramount Vantage a division of Paramount Pictures. American Teen is has been acclaimed at Sundance 2008 and will be hitting theatres late July 2008. I recommend to you to see this film. It’s the real life. Read below to find more.

The film was shot over a period of 10 months and chronicles a year in the life of a group of four high school students in Warsaw, Indiana. Almost immediately we meet Hannah, the funky, quirky outsider; Megan, the popular prom queen; Colin, the superstar athlete; Mitch, the jock with a heart of gold; and Jake, the smart and awkward geek. On the surface, it seems like we have seen this story before, but this film deals with issues that have never been talked about and it is guaranteed to test all of your limits. American Teen shows the eye-opening realities of being a teenager today and at times can appear to be too media-aware, but you will feel confident that the actions and feelings of these four kids are nothing short of completely sincere. Speed Racer Review

  • Author: Razvan Pirnac
  • Date: May 9,2008

After the success of the films in the Matrix series, the Wachowski Brothers return to the director’s chair with this adaptation of the classic cartoon. INTO THE WILD’s Emile Hirsch jumps into the Mach 5 car as Speed Racer, while John Goodman and Susan Sarandon play his parents. Christina Ricci costars as Speed’s girlfriend Trixie, and Matthew Fox (LOST) is Racer X, his biggest competitor.

Rated: PG
Runtime: 2 hrs 9 mins

Ain’t It Cool News has a Speed Racer review from a reader who apparently saw a very rough cut, and the overall judgement: two big thumbs up. “It is definitely a living cartoon handled by … people … who seem to have a true love and affinity for the cartoon,” writes the AICN spy. “It’s (hokey), corny and completely defies reality, sure. But it is done so well that it truly was entertaining … The race sequences are some of the most kinetic and intense that I have ever seen (even when it is just … cartoon pre-vis renderings flying around on the tracks). The action was so intense and crazy in parts that seriously it made the Matrix movies seem like you’re watching a Gus Van Sant art film.” The AICN spy also goes on to detail a “great fight scene where ninjas try to attack a group of racers in their sleep,” comic-relief scenes with Speed Racer’s brother Spritle and his pet monkey Chim-Chim and, surprisingly, some language that may mean the movie’s rumored G-rating may have to be changed to PG-13. The Andy and Larry Wachowski remake (with voices by Emile Hirsch and Christina Ricci) of the ’60s TV cartoon hits theaters on May 9 … Meanwhile, Moviehole.net has a peek at pics from the set of G.I. Joe, with the first look at Channing Tatum as Duke and Sienna Miller as Baroness. One potential spoiler: Baroness is holding a folded American flag and appears to be attending a funeral.

Prom Night Soundtrack

  • Author: Razvan Pirnac

Prom Night shares a common bond with films like “Somewhere In Time”, “Xanadu” & “The Bodyguard”: The soundtrack is slightly more popular than the movie it came from. The songs were written by Paul Zaza, Carl Zittrer & Peter Simpson.

Due April 1, the Prom Night Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features tracks by Bloc Party, Ben Taylor (son of James Taylor; of a similar wuss mien), L.A. indie-psychedelia proponents Mellowdrone, radio-ready Sunset strip rockers, Rock Kills Kid, Texan ambient rockers This Will Destroy You and many more.

Most importantly and perhaps most insanely, the soundtrack disc features the self-proclaimed “first ever virtual hip hop artist,” Mr. Me Innit, a creation of DJ Driis, aka U.K. actor Idris Elba, aka one Stringer Bell from HBO’s “The Wire.” (who produced the Innit tracks with the Insomniacs; he also evidently co-produced and performed on the the intro on Jay-Z’s American Gangster album).

Prom Night soundtrack:
01. Time Of The Season – Ben Taylor
02. This Is All That We Know – Mr. Me Innit
03. Call In The Cavalry – The Shys
04. Oh My – Mellowdrone
05. Love And Touch – Kovas
06. I Believe In Your Victory – This Will Destroy You
07. Time After Time - Quietdrive
08. Up In Here – Kovas
09. Callin’ Me – Consequence
10. Deadline – Time Tells All
11. Your Eyes – Gary King
12. I Still Remember – Bloc Party

Things go wildly awry though, when on his return he accidentally brings a giant, man-eating dinosaur back through the portal and into modern-day, downtown Los Angeles.

100 Million BC will be released on 29 July 2008. Despite this, you can download from today the 100 Million BC from torrent trackers, so you can search for it, with this string: “100 Million BC 2008 DVDRip XviD-CM8″

Pay attention, this is not 1000 BC, this film is about dinosaurus. It’s a pretty good movie, not excelent, but is good for a a Friday Night.

A team of time-travellers journey into the past and unwittingly bring back a bloodthirsty dinosaur to modern-day Los Angeles. As this prehistoric menace roams the city streets, the feeding frenzy begins. Michael Gross (FAMILY TIES) stars in this low-budget sci-fi yarn.

Never Back Down Soundtrack

  • Author: Razvan Pirnac
  • Date: Mar 15,2008

There are constant stream of Top 40 hits on the soundtrack, with non-stop pop-rock songs. All the while the soundtrack concentrates on songs with lyrics about “not backing down”. Seriously, when it comes to filling your soundtrack with whiny, alt-rock ballads, you should highly consider backing down. The soundtrack is genuinely objectionable, with enough generic, droning metal and punk to make ears bleed.
