Win32/glenwiry.p is a new virus which affects computer especially from USA. Even if Win32/glenwiry.p seems to be a false report going on what I’ve seen on the net and also judging by what came up when I ran a full scan. CA security have been told by a few people and it seems the general idea is to wait until the next update and then run another scan.
The false report from CA quarantines the files, then Windows gets upset and wants them replaced or restored, but I don’t have enough info to say whether that’s a good idea.
Maybe wait a little longer for more info about Win32/glenwiry.p.

In Windows XP - it will getting a message: “eTrust EX Antivirus Infection Alert - Filename Printer-MP10 Setup.exe, Location c:\Documents and Settings\, Infection: Win32/glenwiry.P”.

the file is founded but it can’t be removed ..

The long Iraq war. The bungled Hurricane Katrina response. The credit crunch. A quick look at the newspapers will give many voters reason to doubt the wisdom of America’s political leaders. Unfortunately, Americans are doing little to educate themselves about their leaders and their policies, says bestselling author and George Mason University historian Rick Shenkman in his new book Just How Stupid Are We? Facing the Truth About the American Voter. Shenkman cites some damning facts to make his case that Americans are ill-prepared to guide the world’s most powerful democracy. Only 2 of 5 voters can name the three branches of the federal government. And 49 percent of Americans think the president has the authority to suspend the Constitution. But, for Shenkman, the severity of the problem snapped into focus after Sept. 11, 2001, when polls showed that a large number of Americans knew little about the attacks and the Iraq war that followed. He blames some of the public’s misunderstanding on the White House message machine, but he argues that Americans did little to seek the truth. “As became irrefutably clear in scientific polls undertaken after 9/11…millions of Americans simply cannot fathom the twists and turns that complicated debates take,” Shenkman writes. Shenkman spoke to U.S. News about the competence of the American voter.

Richard Shenkman is the editor and founder of George Mason University’s History News Network, a website that features articles by historians on current events. An associate professor of history at George Mason University, he can regularly be seen on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC. He is a New York Times best-selling author of five history books, including Legends, Lies & Cherished Myths of American History. His most recent book is Presidential Ambition: How the Presidents Gained Power, Kept Power and Got Things Done, which was published in 1999 by HarperCollins. He is writing a new book, to be published by Basic Books, about the myths we need to face in a post 9/11 world. Educated at Vassar and Harvard, Mr. Shenkman is an award-winning investigative reporter and the former managing editor of KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle. In 1997 he was the host, writer and producer of a prime time series for The Learning Channel inspired by his books on myths. He gives lectures at colleges around the country on several topics, including American myths and presidential politics. Mr. Shenkman can be reached by email at editor@historynewsnetwork.org or by phone at (206)228-4386.

“Just How Stupid Are We?” There’s no getting around the provocation of that title, and if your mouth is already forming the words, “Not stupid enough to read this book,” then pause and give author Rick Shenkman his proper due. By questioning whether American voters have the capacity to think straight, he has ensured that he will never win an election and probably won’t scare up a lot of readers, either. But at a time when Obama and Clinton and McCain have been hustling around the country trying to feel the common man’s pain, it’s oddly bracing to hear someone argue that the common man is a pain.

If nothing else, it flies in the face of a great many clichés. “The people have spoken.” “The people are always right.” “Government of the people … by the people…” Well, you know the rest. Or maybe you don’t. Because, according to Shenkman, Americans don’t know a hell of a lot, and some of us are, by any available metric, D-U-M dumb.

The voter you describe, supportive of the war and the Bush administration, sounds like a conservative. How do you defend this book as anything more than a liberal screed?
I know this plays into a narrative of contemporary conservatives where liberals are finding fault with working class Americans, but I hope I provide enough context in the book that people see this is not a liberal’s manifesto. This is an American’s manifesto about something that is really wrong with the country. One thing I hope to do is remind conservatives of their own history. It used to be you could always count on conservatives to raise questions about the people. But one reason Ronald Reagan won is that conservatives started celebrating the common man just like liberals always did. So now you have two main ideological groups in the country saying the voice of the people is the voice of God. As I say in the book, we’re all populists now. That’s fine, but the voice of the people often isn’t the voice of God. The people make mistakes. And if you don’t have conservatives pointing that out, then the system is out of whack. Democracy depends on having a sustained conversation about our weaknesses as well as our strengths.

Clay court master Rafael Nadal and world No. 1 Roger Federer will renew their rivalry in the French Open final after Friday’s semifinal results.

Nadal will compete for a fourth consecutive Open title after dispatching Novak Djokovic in three sets on Friday.

The No. 2 seeded Spaniard prevailed 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). Now 27-0 at Roland Garros in his career, he will try to become the first man since Sweden’s Bjorn Borg in 1981 to win four straight at the event.

“Against Federer is special,” Nadal said. “I will try and face history.”Nadal holds a 10-6 career edge owing to his strength and quickness on clay. He is 2-5 against Federer on other surfaces, including a loss in a five-set classic at Wimbledon last year.

Nadal has won both matchups on clay this year, including a stern challenge in Hamburg, winning 7-5, 6-7 (7-3), 3-7. Federer had impressed in registering his only clay win over Nadal at the same event in 2007.
No. 1 Roger Federer takes on No. 2 and rival Rafael Nadal (pictured prior to last year’s final) in the third consecutive championship at Roland Garros on Sunday. They also met in the semifinals in 2005 with Nadal winning that match.

The only other time two players met in the championship of a Grand Slam tournament for three consecutive years was from 1988-90 at Wimbledon where Stefan Edberg defeated Boris Becker in two of the three years.

This is the fifth career meeting in a Grand Slam final between the two superstars (tied 2-2), which is tied for the most in the Open Era. Nadal owns a 10-6 career record against Federer, including 8-1 on clay, but he knows a difficult task lies ahead. “I’ll always play against Federer is special, no? It’s different atmosphere. It’s different, no? The tactic, well, is always a little bit different. But anyway, try to play my game, no? I know for him I have to play my best level. If it’s not like this I never going to win him, beat him. But I just going to try my best. That’s the best tactic: play very well.”

A Schenectady man was killed after jumping without a parachute from a small sky diving plane Saturday afternoon over Duanesburg, State Police said.

Sloan Carafello, 29, of State Street, struck a house at 7951 Duanesburg Road just before 2 p.m., damaging the roof and splitting his body in two.
The videographer filmed as Sloan Carafello fell and Carafello took pictures of himself while falling through the air, according to Rawlins. Police have the video.

Upon landing, the videographer called out to bystanders, directing them to call 911, according to Kamil Wasilewski, 24, who was waiting his turn to sky dive. Wasilewski had taken his cousin to sky dive as a “best-man surprise.” His cousin, who is to be married in two weeks, was the student in the plane with Carafello.
horror.”

The incident comes almost exactly 10 years after a sky diving club member died after his parachute collapsed and he plummeted between 50 and 100 feet to the ground, police said. That victim, Terrance Bishop, 21, of Westerlo, was described as an experienced diver.
State police said Sloan Carafello, 29, of State Street, was aboard a small plane operated by the Duanesburg Skydiving Club along with an instructor, two skydivers and pilot Bob Rawlins.
Sloan Carafello followed the skydiving group with his camera as they dove from the plane, said Rawlins, who was positioned to close the plane’s door following the scheduled jump.

The Amazon outage, first noticed by Twitter users at as early as 10:24 am PST this morning (I’d link to Twitter except that it’s down), has gone on for an hour now. It’s not necessarily news when a startup has minor downtime, but Amazon loses big revenue for every minute they aren’t out there selling.

Update: Looks like www.amazon.com works now, but only sometimes. According to Twitter the Amazon site first came back up (sporadically) around 12:10 PM PST. Based on an average loss of $31,000 per minute, Amazon just theoretically lost out on around $3,286,000.

Update 2: Email from Amazon PR:

The Amazon retail site was down for approximately 2 hours earlier today (beginning around 10:25) – and we’re bringing the site back up.

Amazon’s systems are very complex and on rare occasions, despite our best efforts, they may experience problems. We work to minimize any disruption and to get the site back as quickly as possible.

Amazon’s web services were not affected nor were our international sites.

Former NBA player Chris Herren was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after police found him slumped over the wheel of his running car, which crashed into a utility pole.

Sgt. Thomas Mauretti said an officer found a hypodermic needle and a small blue bag in the car that he recognized as packaging for heroin on Wednesday. He said the officer believed the 32-year-old Herren had overdosed.

Herren was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in good condition Friday. He was also charged with possession of a class A drug and reckless operation.
He has been summonsed to court to face charges of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a class A drug and reckless operation. No court date has been set.

It was not immediately clear if Herren had a lawyer.

Sarkar Raj Review

Sequels are dicey business. No matter how much you improvise on your new script, you cannot escape comparisons. And when you attempt a sequel of a critically acclaimed film that’s a huge box-office grosser as well, it’s akin to walking on a tight rope.

Most importantly, post Ramgopal Varma ki Aag, Ramgopal Varma was everyone’s favorite punching bag (till Tashan dethroned RGV ki Aag) Finished, spent force, has-been, Pack up were commonly used terms for RGV.

Now here’s great news! Sarkar Raj supersedes the prequel and most importantly, RGV bounces back like never before. If you felt Shiva and later Satya were his finest efforts, you’ve got to watch Sarkar Raj. An outstanding film in all respects, this film has all it takes to emerge a major success story at the box-office and a landmark film in everyone’s careers.

Read Sonia Chopra’s review of Sarkar Raj | All about Sarkar Raj

When Anita [Aishwarya Rai Bachchan], CEO of Sheppard Power Plant, an international company, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra before the Nagres, insightful Shankar [Abhishek Bachchan] is quick to realise the benefits the power plant can bring to the people.

After convincing Sarkar [Amitabh Bachchan], who is against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilise support from the masses.

However, things are not what they seem to be and Shankar’s dream project gradually becomes a political minefield. The evil forces, mightier than ever, mushroom and gang up to bring down the regime of Sarkar and obliterate Shankar’s name from the political horizon.

Sarkar Raj exudes a lot of power from the word ‘Go’. But let’s not categorize Sarkar Raj as yet another political film. Emotions and relationships run concurrently in those 2+ hours. What works in favor of Sarkar Raj is its tight writing. It’s not difficult to decipher the power play, but more importantly, there’s meat in the script. It leaves you awe-struck as the plot thickens. The film throws a number of surprises, but the best is reserved for the penultimate 20/25 minutes. The culmination to the story is simply fantastic!

RGV shines like never before. He takes to SARKAR RAJ with a vengeance. He has to prove that the sequel is better, he has to prove the detractors wrong too. While RGV has handled the subject with great expertise, you cannot ignore a few scenes that leave a lasting impact…
Ash’s first meeting with the Bachchans to explain the power project.
Govind Namdev trying to bribe Abhishek.
The Bachchans’ visit to Dilip Prabhawalkar’s residence.
The Bachchans’ discussion over Kay Kay [who was shot dead by Abhishek in the prequel].
The turning point in the film [not to be disclosed].
The penultimate reels when the real culprit stands exposed. It hits you like a ton of bricks.

Besides its strong content, Sarkar Raj has been filmed exceptionally well too. In fact, the film has the trademark RGV stamp in every sequence.

The review would be incomplete without giving the due credit to writer Prashant Pandey’s incredible and almost flawless script. Amar Mohile’s background score is topnotch. The by-now-famous ‘Govinda’ chant in the background only enhances the impact. Amit Roy’s cinematography is exceptional. The DoP succeeds in giving the film the raw-n-rustic look, which works very well. Action (Allan Amin), in minimal doses, is perfect.

Sarkar Raj is embellished with superb performances! Amitabh Bachchan, expectedly, comes up with a terrific performance. He’s as ferocious as a wounded tiger in the finale and takes the film to great heights.

First Yuva, then Guru, now Sarkar Raj. Abhishek Bachchan is cast opposite the finest actor of this country, yet he sparkles in every sequence.

This time, the father and son go neck to neck as far as acting honors go. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is fabulous and delivers her career-best performance in Sarkar Raj. Enough has been written about her looks, but not much space has been devoted to her performances. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Provoked, Guru, Jodhaa Akbar and now Sarkar Raj - she’s only got better with every film.

Every supporting actor in Sarkar Raj stands out - Dilip Prabhawalkar [superb], Govind Namdev [first-rate], Sayaji Shinde [perfect], Ravi Kale [terrific] and Supriya Pathak [good]. Tanisha is alright. The actor enacting the role of Dilip Prabhawalkar’s grandson makes a strong impact.

On the whole, Sarkar Raj is an exceptional film in all respects. At the box-office, it has all it takes to set new records in days to come!

Sarkar Raj is an intense political drama and is essentially a study of power; it explores the politics of development and takes a fresh look at the tradition versus modernity debate.
When Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai - Bachchan), CEO of Sheppard power plant, an international Company, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra before the Nagres, insightful Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) is quick to realize the benefits the power plant can bring to the people. After convincing Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan) who is against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilize support from the masses.
However, things are not what they seem to be and Shankar’s dream project gradually becomes a political minefield. It is in this backdrop the evil forces mightier than ever, mushroom and gang up to bring down the regime of Sarkar and obliterate Shankar’s name from the political horizon.
Sarkar Raj is a 2008 Indian drama film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The primary cast features the Bachchan family - Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who appear together for the first time in a film after Aishwarya and Abhishek’s marriage. The film is set to release on June 6, 2008.

The film, whose story has been adapted from the Enron issue, is the sequel to Sarkar (2005), which was inspired by Francis Ford Coppola’s film The Godfather (1972); however, the sequel is originally written. Both the films have been claimed to be loosely based on the family of Balasaheb Thackeray, the leader of the Mumbai-based political party, Shiv Sena.
