Scott Coles Death

Scott M. Coles, chairman and chief executive officer of Phoenix-based Mortgages Ltd., died Monday afternoon.

Scott Coles ran the biggest private commercial mortgage lender in the state. Scott Coles, 48, was known as a philanthropist, donating money and time to Valley charities including Childshelp, Boys & Girls Clubs and Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.
Scott Coles, 48, joined Mortgages Ltd. in 1987. He became president in 1992 and took over as chairman and CEO in 1995.

Phoenix-based Mortgages Ltd. is Arizona’s largest private mortgage lender. Its six-member management team remains intact. Laura Martini will serve as interim president.

Scott Coles held a bachelor’s degree in general business from the University of Arizona and completed the Harvard University Business School Owner/President Management Program. Scott Coles was a member of the Arizona Mortgage Brokers Association and the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association.
The cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner. Hill said there were no obvious signs of foul play, which means Scott Coles may have died by suicide or natural causes.

The Arizona Republic Web site reports Scott Coles ran the biggest private commercial mortgage lender in the state. According to its Web site, Mortgages Ltd. produced $3.3 billion in transactions in 2006, making Coles a millionaire several times over.

The slumping real estate market, however, was catching up to the company. In April, the developers of the Chateaux on Central project filed a lawsuit against Mortgages Ltd. for alleged breach of contract. In May, Rightpath Ltd. Development Group filed a lawsuit against Mortgages Ltd. as well.

Scott Coles was known as a philanthropist, donating money and time to various charities including Childshelp, Boys & Girls Clubs and Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.

Gina Gerson with Bill Clinton ?

Have you heard about Gina Gerson and Bill Clinton? Few couples have had such public marriage problems as Hillary and Bill Clinton. We all know that Bill Clinton has an eye for the ladies and the Monica Lewinsky scandal was probably the most talked about affairs in the world.

However for poor Hillary it seems that Vanity Fair has published an article claiming that Bill Clinton has been seeing lots of women on “the road”. One woman who has been named is Gina Gerson.

This might be juicy gossip to some people but to others it simply reflects the marriage problems they are experiencing themselves due to an affair. This is certainly not an uncommon thing to happen and whilst many couples do split up forever, there are still a good number that find help and manage to get through these turbulent times. A new Vanity Fair article alleges that Bill Clinton may have boned Gina Gerson and other chicks. Awesome!
Gina Gerson is a well known actress.

Bo Diddley Death

On May 17, 2007, Bo Diddley was admitted to intensive care in Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, following a stroke during a concert at Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 13. Bo Diddley had a history of hypertension and diabetes, and the stroke affected the left side of his brain, causing receptive and expressive dysphasia. The hospital reported Bo Diddley in “guarded” condition at the time.

While recovering from the massive stroke and heart attack, Bo Diddley came back to his home town of McComb for the unveiling of a plaque, on the National Blues Trail devoted to him. The plaque stated he was “acclaimed as a founder of rock and roll.” Bo Diddley was not supposed to perform but as he listened to the music of local musician Jesse Robinson, who sang a song written for this occasion, Robinson sensed Bo Diddley wanted to perform and handed him a microphone. That was the first time Bo Diddley performed publicly since his stroke and heart attack.

On June 2, 2008, Bo Diddley died at the age of 79 of heart failure at his home in Archer, Florida Garry Mitchell, a grandson of Diddley and one of more than 35 family members at the Bo Diddley’s home when he died at about 1:45 a.m. EDT (0545 GMT), said his death was not unexpected. “There was a gospel song that was sung and he said ‘wow’ with a thumbs up,” Mitchell told Reuters, when asked to describe the scene at Diddley’s deathbed. “The song was ‘Walk Around Heaven’ and in his last words he stated that he was going to heaven.”
Diddley died Monday, surrounded by family and loved ones at his home in Archer, Florida, a family spokeswoman said.

The cause of death was heart failure, his family said.

Bo Diddley is survived by his brother, the Rev. Kenneth Haynes of Biloxi, Mississippi, his children, Evelyn Kelly, Ellas A. McDaniel, Tammi D. McDaniel and Terri Lynn Foster, as well as 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Dawn Stensland

Dawn Stensland and Larry Mendte lead a charmed life. They each anchor a nightly news show, on channels 29 and 3, respectively, and when they head home in the early mornings, they stroll into a charming, two-story Chestnut Hill pad. Out front, wrought-iron gates mark their semicircle driveway. Out back, a creek winds past an ample back yard that doubles as a playground for Buddy, their playful yet protective 4-year-old white German shepherd.
At last month’s Philadelphia Home Show, dream rooms were designed for local-television figures and were displayed at the Convention Center. Dawn Stensland got together with Bonnie Richman of Karl’s Furniture and dreamt up a room fit for her son. (We’d say Dawn Stensland and Larry did the dreaming, except hadn’t the latter admitted the other day that “Dawn’s been doing everything.”)
Today, much of the furniture from the display is set up in a bedroom right next door to Dawn Stenslandand Larry’s. Family pictures line the windowsills near the trundle bed. Teddy bears — “they’re gifts from Larry. I love teddy bears!” Dawn explained — occupy a corner by the walk-in closet. Baby outfits sit atop the changing table just waiting to be worn. A custom-painted border will soon be added to the walls.
Emmy award-winning journalist Dawn Stensland co-anchors the Fox 29 News at 10. Her nearly two decades of news experience includes two years as co-host of the national show, “CBS News Saturday Morning,” where she interviewed everyone from generals, presidential candidates, movie stars … to yes, Kermit the Frog. Dawn anchored live coverage on CBS News with Dan Rather for several hours the morning that John F. Kennedy Jr.’s plane tragically crashed.

Before joining the FOX 29 news team, Dawn Stensland co-anchored the 5:00 p.m. news at KYW-TV. In addition to her anchor duties, Dawn delivered live nightly reports for their late broadcast. Her live coverage included work at the Republican National Convention, the return of Ira Einhorn, and the Mardi Gras melee on South Street. Dawn was also among the first reporters on the scene of the deadly Pier 34 collapse.

Before coming home to Philadelphia in 1997, Dawn Stensland paid her dues as a reporter and anchor at television stations across the country, including Chicago, Cleveland and Minneapolis.

Wachovia Corp ousted Ken Thompson as chief executive of the fourth-largest U.S. bank in the wake of growing legal troubles and loan losses tied to the purchase of a big mortgage lender just before the nation’s housing boom went bust.

Lanty Smith, who replaced Ken Thompson as chairman last month, was named interim chief executive, Wachovia said on Monday. Ben Jenkins, the vice chairman and head of Wachovia’s retail and business bank, was named interim chief operating officer.

Alycia Lane

Our favorite vixen Alycia Lane is back in the news and yes, it is a legal matter. Check this one out. Larry Mendte is under a federal investigation for allegedly reading Alycia’s emails. The Inquirer reports that Larry’s computer was seized from his home last week in an investigation that was not promoted by Lane. The story also reports that Larry showed up for work Friday, but was not on the air.
Dan Gross at philly.com reports that CBS3 has suspended Mendte indefinitely.
Alycia Lane is an American television journalist. Until January 2008, Alicia Lane served as co-anchor of the weekday evening newscasts on KYW-TV in Philadelphia.
On January 30, 2008, Alicia Lane’s lawyers filed a writ of summons on her behalf, a preemptive move towards a lawsuit against KYW-TV in connection with her firing. On February 19, 2008, lawyers for CBS, KYW-TV’s parent company, sought to move Lane’s state court writ to the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia, though a provision in Alicia Lane’ s contract stated that employment disputes were to be handled in New York, where the network is headquartered.

Alicia Lane’s criminal case for assault on a police officer was effectively closed on February 25, 2008, when a New York judge reduced Lane’s charges to misdemeanors. The case was then adjourned, with an additional provision that charges against Alicia Lane would be dropped on the condition that she is not arrested, at any time, over the next six months.

Tatum O’Neal arrested

Daughter of Ryan ONeil was arrested Sunday night in New York a few blocks from her Lower East Side apartment. Tatum ONeil was arrested while buying cocaine and crack.

When Tatum O’Neil was arrested, she had a crack pipe in her possession. Alan Garcia, 33 was also arrested and is believed to be the drug dealer.

When the 44 year old actress was arrested, she asked the arresting officers, “You know who I am right? I’m researching a part, I’m doing this for a part as a junkie.”

44 year old O’Neil, who has a long fight with addiction, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on the Lower East Side of Manhattan after she was seen making a purchase from a drug dealer. She has been charged her with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Tatum most recently appeared in US TV series ‘Rescue Me’.

Tatum O’Neal is also the youngest person ever to be awarded an Oscar aged just 10, for her performance in 1973 film ‘Paper Moon’.

After her marriage to tennis star John McEnroe ended in 1992, Tatum’s problems with drugs spiralled out of control. She has since lost custody of her three children, Kevin, Sean and Emily, from her six-year marriage to McEnroe.

She wrote about her drugs battle in her memoirs ‘A Paper life.’

Published reports said the 44-year-old actress initially told police she was doing research for an upcoming role, and that she pleaded to be let off the hook when the drugs were discovered.

O’Neil was in central booking in lower Manhattan early Monday, and was expected to be arraigned later.

O’Neil was the youngest actress to win an Oscar, receiving the honor at the age of 10.

Tatum O’Neil married tennis superstar John McEnroe in 1986. The couple had three children: Kevin, Sean, and Emily.

The couple divorced in 1992. She began spiraling downward after the divorce, developing an addiction to heroin. Her drug abuse cost her the custody of her children. John McEnroe obtained full custody of their kids in 1998.

Alisha Dean

Alisha had told Morris Williams she was 18. Her Myspace (now edited and private) said she was 19 and divorced. But after having sex with Alisha, Williams got worried. Things she said and did tipped him off, and he went to see Jerry Dean, who told Williams that yeah, his daughter was only 13. Then Jerry Dean called the police to press charges. Alisha’s public Myspace is now down, but it wasn’t, even when the case went to court yesterday. The suggestive material was enough to make grown women blush. A couple of her videos show the minor child shaking her womanly booty like she’s working the pole. It’s totally believable to me that young men might not realize the girl’s age if she lied about it.

When Morris Williams found out Alisha Dean was not 22, but 13, he immediately went to Dean’s father and told him.  Dean’s father wanted Morris behind bars, just like Darwin Mills, who Alisha pulled the same stunt on in January 2007. Williams is now serving a year in jail. Mills, 5 years in Jail.  Dean’s My Space Page now says she is 16, three years older than she really is. Read the post, and note Dean’s fathers comments.

Joe Scarborough

Joe Scarborough is an American cable news host and former politician. Before his present position as host of Morning Joe on MSNBC, Scarborough hosted Scarborough Country on the same channel. Besides his work in cable news, Scarborough served in the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 2001 as a Republican from Florida.
The New York Post reported on July 3, 2007, that Scarborough was close to signing a deal to replace Don Imus on MSNBC. Since Memorial Day, Scarborough has been hosting the 6am-9am program now known as “Morning Joe” after Imus was fired from both MSNBC and CBS Radio after his “Nappy-Headed Hos” comment about the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.
Joe Scarborough was elected to Congress in 1994 with 62% of the vote, becoming the first Republican to represent Northwest Florida since 1873. Joe was reelected three times with no serious opposition, even running unopposed in 1998 and 2000.

Stan Romanek - alien

No, my politically inclined friends not those kind of aliens. The kind of alien I’m talking about does not cut a hole in a border fence and sneak across with the help of a “coyote,” settling down in LA and immediately becoming a drain on government services. The Denver man who is pushing a ballot measure to have the city form an “ET Commission” showed video of what he says is an alien Friday morning at a news conference. Reporters were allowed to view the video, but only a still image of it was released to the media. Romanek, who lives in Colorado Springs, allegedly recorded the alien video while living in Nebraska.

The pair has a deal with a documentary company for the rights to the video.

“Not all wrinkly like ET, the extraterrestrial, just youthful, smooth skin, large wide kind of eyes,” said Peckman.

Romanek has posted drawings of the aliens he reportedly sees on his Web site.

A scientist at the University of Colorado told CBS4 life elsewhere in the Universe is possible, but hard to prove.
