Alain Robert Arrested

Alain Robert is a French rock and urban climber. Nicknamed after the Marvel Comics character “Spider-Man,” or “The Human Spider” he is famous for scaling skyscrapers.
A man who scaled a New York skyscraper shortly after a daredevil stuntman may be an emotionally disturbed copycat, police have said.
The two men climbed the 52-storey office tower in Manhattan, which houses the New York Times, within hours of each other.
The first was Alain Robert, known as Spiderman because he has free-climbed more than 70 skyscrapers around the world.
The Frenchman, who said the stunt was planned to mark World Environment Day, unfurled a banner that read: “Global warming kills more people than a 9/11 every week.”
Robert, 45, was arrested when he made it to the top and faces charges of reckless endangerment, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Hours later, thousands of New Yorkers looked on in amazement as a second man made his way up the skyscraper.
Police also took him into custody, then expressed concerns about his mental state.
